Okay, I’ll admit. I am a bit “deep” about one thing, and that is books. I love to read, and my favorite author of pretty much all time is Machiavelli. He is two of my most favorite adjectives - fantastic and chilling. His writing is so applicable to so many things, and he has had such an influence on the world; even Shakespeare took a page or two from his book. Look in Julius Caesar and ask yourself, “Is it better to be loved or feared?” And then, you can wonder, “Was Caesar killed because he wasn’t a lion? Or because he wasn’t a fox?” (It’s fox, by the way.)
Anyway, as a super!Italian, I love Niccolò the best in his original Italian, but the English translations are always good for a passage before bed.
